My Business Is A General Partnership. We Are Bringing Along A Third Member. What Is Best Now Llc, Or Corp?

Me and my best friend started an email marketing business. We need an SEO guy to help generate sales, so we are bringing him and and splitting profits three ways. Do we need to now turn the business into a LLC or something different? What are our options? Thanks

    Technically, no, you can have a 3-way partnership.
    However, picking the right ownership structure is a long topic, and not something we can explain in two or three paragraphs, as it involves property and asset protection, taxes, legal rights and limits, and so on.
    Your choices are
    General Partnership
    Limited Partnership
    LLC
    C Corp
    S Corp
    I would recommend you to buy a book and read in detail on what each is good for, or consult a real professional.
